Dr. Nathan Stucky is Director of The Farminary Project at Princeton Theological Seminary. The Farminary integrates theological and religious education with regenerative agriculture and ecological attunement. Faculty and students care for and receive care from the 25-acre working farm as they study theology, ethics, history, Scripture, and ecology. This happens on land that tangibly bears the wounds of extractive and exploitative models of relationship between people and place. This lecture grows out of the experience of teaching and learning at the Farminary. It dares to imagine theologically robust and ecologically vibrant ways of being in the world that press against all-too-prevalent histories of exhaustion and despair.
Further dialogue will be facilitated by Prof. Dr. Justin Forbes. Professor Forbes directs the Center for Religion and Culture at Flagler College. He is currently Transatlantic Cultures & Histories Guest Professor in the JMU Faculty of Arts.
This event is free and open to the public. Registration is not required.
