Lecture Series "Reading in the Classroom, Learning for the World"

Dr. Claudia Deetjen is currently completing a post-doctoral project on Anglophone refugee writing and transcultural and global learning at the University of Würzburg while working as a secondary school teacher and author of school books. She holds a doctoral degree in American literature from the University of Bayreuth and has taught courses on American literature and on the teaching of Anglophone literatures at the universities of Bamberg, Bayreuth and Münster. Her main research interests include inter-/transcultural and global learning through literature, environmental education, media and film literacy.
