Celebrating 50 Years of The English Drama Group

This year marks a very special milestone: the 50th anniversary of the English Drama Group at the University of Würzburg! For half a century, the EDG has been a vibrant part of university life, showcasing creativity, collaboration, and a shared love for (English) theatre. The group was founded in 1975 and presented “The Importance of Being Earnest” by Oscar Wilde as their very first production.

We are also excited to announce this semester’s production:
The Women by Clare Booth Luce, playing on July 4, 5, and 10, 11, 12, 8pm at KHG (Katholische Hochschulgemeinde, Hofstallstr. 4)
