Honourable Mention Award

We are delighted to announce that our PhD candidate, Aditya Upadhyaya, has received an Honourable Mention Award for the paper “When Handwriting Goes Social: Creativity, Anonymity, and Communication in Graphonymous Online Spaces” (co-authored by Aditya Kumar Purohit, Nicolas Ruiz, Alberto Monge Roffarello, and Hendrik Heuer). The award was conferred at the ACM Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems (CHI), one of the most prestigious international venues in the field of human–computer interaction (HCI). The paper examines how handwriting is reconfigured within digital social environments, with particular attention to its role in creative expression, anonymity, and communication. By investigating these graphonymous online spaces, the study provides important insights into how traditional forms of writing are adapted and reimagined in contemporary online contexts. We warmly congratulate Aditya on this notable achievement.
